A Brief Overview
Kilkami was once the Game of Kings in the world of Millosai, the fabled world from my novel series, The Trials of Millosai. The game of Kilkami evolved over time into a game for the common person bestowing its virtues of strategy, patience, and overall quick-thinking, real-time problem solving!
This Rule Book covers both the Basic and More Complex rules and game play involved. It will walk you through from the set-up to final win and the many details in between! This game is a 3D-Printable Game. The game pieces are 3D Printable, as are many other aspects of this game! |
Kilkami involves the use of a Game Board, 3D-Printed Castles, 3D-Printed Game Pieces, Cards, 3D-Printed Token Platforms, and a 3D-Printed Boat, but most important is your own Strategic and Problem-Solving Skills! Each Game Piece comes with its own Character Card, some of which are displayed below, listing off that Character's Special Effects. Some Pieces can stun or poison another Piece. Other Pieces empower their own Team's abilities! There are Game Play Cards as well, some of which are displayed below as well. These Game Cards offer even more room for the players to stretch their Strategic Skills to the Max while integrating Game Piece with Game Card and Game Board Effects. Yes, different Game Boards have different Effects as well!
Adding even more challenge to this picture is the introduction of the Open Field. Players can play on a single Home Board. Players can Put two Home Boards side by side and expand their Game Play that way. Players can also make use of the Open Field. Up to 8 Home Boards can be connected to a "Port" on the Open Field. The Players now need to move their Pieces off from their Home Board, traverse the Open Field, and move onto the other player's Home Board in order to take their Castle and Win the Game!
That is the point of the Game: Take their Castle and Lands!

*Note - the Deck Cards are currently being sold in PDF and Poker-Sized, Glossy formats. You are invited to purchase the PDF file and print the Deck Cards off on cardboard (thin or thick). You can even laminate them if you wish. They come as single cards (both back and front linked together in one flat card) and split (both back and front separately), so you can even print them and laminate them back-to-front the way they're designed to be. The more professional-looking Deck is being offered through RunThruRPG. They're Poker-Sized and Glossy, and come out really well, but they're also $23. The PDF will cost you less. It's your choice on format. The Character Cards remain offered through PDF only at this time though there is work on that end as well! I appreciate your understanding!
Game Boards and Open Field!
The Boards for this Game are best when they're produced as Game Mats. You can easily have them printed on paper and made into a cardboard Game Surface, but I find they're annoying to store. They're excellent on wooden boards, of course. I love that idea, but they can be difficult to store as well, so I personally suggest having them printed on a foam Game Mat. The online source I use for my Game Mats is https://www.yourplaymat.com/. The funny thing is that I have to get it created as a mousepad. But they make excellent Game Mats whether they call it a Mouse Pad or not.
But printing one of these Game Mats with yourplaymat.com costs around $60. For a new game you haven't played yet, a game that isn't wildly popular at this point, I can't imagine you'd want to pay that much for one Game Board. As such, because I really want you playing the game, I offer you the Boards below. You are welcome to download the .rar file supplied for each Board (the .rar file format is a compressed file format - you can download the program for free to decompress it and gain the original file to use for your Game).
Print the Boards on paper.
Take the image and print it on foam.
Project the Board image onto wood and carve it?
Maybe just load the image onto a computer and project it onto a clean, flat surface! No need to print anything!
I'm supplying you with the .rar download, so you can print it in whatever format you choose! By all means let me know what format you choose? I'm really curious what format works best for everyone!
Interesting Note: there are two of these boards that can be downloaded with 2 files. The reason for this is that, as a full image, the .rar file is too large to upload for you to download. As such, I've cut those 2 images in half. Each half of those images is a separate .rar file.

Mini Kilkami Boards
Ultimately, the boards for Mini Kilkami are the same boards as those for main Kilkami. The only difference is their size. For reference, I've included one such re-scaled board.
