Welcome to Usht!
A little History, of a sort.
There are four languages that have been
crafted for this novel series. Originally, about a third
of the chapters were written in three of these,
Rudayon Che (Roo-die-yo-n Chay), Ruijon Da-Che
(Rue-ee-yo-n Da Chay), and Durijon Ree (Do-ree-yo-n
Ray). Unfortunately, I was forced to use my
computer to rewrite and publish the books, and my
keyboard doesn’t write these languages. I did
manage to work the languages into the story.
Rudayon Che, Ruijon Da-Che, and Duriyon Ree are
explained and more properly introduced in the
following.

In short, Rudayon Che is a crafted language for the novel series, The Trial of Millosai, but it was given a thorough history with all the connected lore I could muster. It comes complete with a functional alphabet and uses English punctuation, for it can be written as fluently as you anyone language! Part of that lore used to create the backdrop of the novel series involves the game, Usht!
Usht was a traditional game played by speakers of the language Rudayon Che. It’s a simple game that survived the language. Even through the slangulations of Ruijon Da-Che and Duriyon Ree, people continued to play the game. It’s a spinning top with lettering where numbers are added up to decide the winner. Who wouldn’t want to continue that toy?
It was traditionally built out of wood and hand-painted in bright reds and yellows. There were two versions of the game offered: first, there was the intricate spinner toy with sharp points. The spinner spun in an ornate box and was played in the homes of rich individuals. Second, the spinner was spun in a rounded cup of sorts. The spinner was blunted, and the cup was decorated, but more simply so, and these spinners, played with by more-common children, were not as richly painted, but these two versions were both equally loved!
I’ve managed to bring both versions of that toy back to life through 3D Printing, and you too can now play that fictitious, but truly loved toy of the ages! This document explains the details, the rules, and covers what you need to know!
Enjoy!

Some Assembly Required
Your Usht Spinner Toy will be printed in parts. As shown above, you’ll get the spinner, its respective box/cup, and a pin. The pin goes up through the hole in the bottom of the box or cup. It goes up into the bottom of the spinner, allowing the spinner to be “locked” to the pin. This will make it so the spinner can function without spinning out of the box or cup! The cup, that more decorative version, also comes with two arrow pieces, to be explained shortly, and two decorative pieces that each have a place to fit inside the unit.
For the Common Unit, this link: https://youtu.be/0-XB34WIdq4, will guide you through assembly. For the more elaborate unit: https://youtu.be/fkCQnLOi3ns, will guide you through assembly.

How to Play
I’ve placed a How to Play video on line. You’re welcome to check it out. Instructions can be found here: https://youtu.be/jpSO-D-ZzA0. I will explain the game here as well, of course! It’s all pretty basic. You spin the top. There are two rounded bars on the Cup with the Common Version and two coloured arrows with the Complex Version. You add up the two panels that end up facing each in each case. The toy is played in Rudayon Che, but there’s a legend on the toy in each case.
The corresponding numbers to each symbol will tell you if you’ve spun a 0, 6, 3, 4, Shield, or Health. If you’ve spun a 6 and 3, if those panels are stopped at those bars/arrows, then you’ve spun a 10. If you’ve spun a Shield and Health – those two are opposite and likely stop at the same spin, then you take no damage that turn and, in fact, take Health that spin!
If you spin a combined 10, and the other players spins a 4, you have the higher number, so the other person takes 6 damage to their starting Health Points. If you spin a 3 and they spin a 10, you take 7 damage to your starting Health Points. Like I previously hinted, if you spin a Shield and Health, and they’ve spun a 10, you take no damage and, in fact, gain that attack. You would gain 10 HP in that spin!
Your Starting Health Points can be what you want them to be. If you want a short game, start with 10 HP. If you want a long game, start with 20 or 30 HP. It’s up to both players.
I hope you enjoy the game. The Common Version makes for a great travel game. Take it anywhere you go, and let me know how you like it! If you'd like a PDF version of these rules, they can be found at: https://preview.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/468953/Usht-Spinner-Toy--Rule-Set.
